New brakes for the car

Postby Dan » Wed Mar 10, 2010 5:37 pm

After having problems with a seizing caliper for last few months i decided to splash out and get a new set of AP Racing calipers with 330mm 2 piece discs.

Can't wait to get them fitted to the Legacy!

probably around the same as what i paid about 1200 euro delivered. not sure if they would clear altezza wheels though. They would be bit of overkill on a n/a altezza though.

You wont believe this but I was actually only thinking last night that we hadnt seen anything from you in a while with regards an upgrade!! Was wondering when we were gonna see it

Wasnt quite expecting this though! No recession in Dans gaff obviously! Serious set of brakes there, now you have to go and double the power so that those brakes are used to stop a car they were built for

Nice setup but are you going to be doing any track days or something? Thats a lot of stopping power for urban driving :?

Heh you haven't seen the way i drive so! right front caliper is fooked, keeps seizing etc, so it worked out about 300 euro more for the new AP's compared to new Subaru caliper, disc and pads, a no brainer really! them brakes will be good to about 400bhp, mine should be about 360bhp by the time im finished with it so i know i have the brakes to match the power. and will be able to throw it around Mondello now without worrying about the brakes fading on me after 2 corners!

Safety first people!

And they look pretty!
