Here's a good one for ya's lads.

I'm 22, full licence for 4 years, 5 years NCB. 123 won't insure me, quinn won't insure me, axa won't insure me. Bestquote gave me one quote which is more than I paid last year and a good few other brokers couldn't get me a quote.

I rang everyone that I mentioned and I've no penalty points. Everyone is telling me that they don't insure Altezzas.

most insurance companies will insure altezzas from 99 onwards but not 1998 because the altezza wasnt imported into the uk until 99...so if u have a 98 ur stuck..

mine was a 98 insured with 123.ie. the issue came up but once i spoke with a rep they agreed to put it down as a 99 to get it on the system but obviously with the 98 reg. The calls are recorded so just make sure you get them to state that this wont invalidate the insurance or even better, get it in writing.

paid €800 odd last June: 24 years old / 4 years NCB / 7 years full licence / 2 championship points
