01 celica (advice on what to look out for?)

the missus wants one and im goin to look at a few over the next week or so. so what do i need to look out for with them. what goes in them . advice needed.

what ya getting. the 190bhp import or a 140?

Dont forget the white ones are generally the fastest :wink:

Cant say I know anything about them just look for the usual. Unusuall tyre ware, gunk in the oil, low in water e.t.c.

there pretty good, ive never heard of major problems, but like the original altezza alloys they tend to blister on the celica aswell, just something to keep an eye on.

the 190's arent imports its the GT model they make here. coz i went too look @ them before i bought the tezza. u can get a import model that TRD build which is about 200-210bhp, has alot of TRD extra's suspension etc

There are 2 types the vvti which is the 140bhp, then there's the vvtl-i thats the 190bhp the vvtl-i one is the best wont set the world alight with power but they are really nice cars. Look out for dirty oil and ones that have been dogged, make sure to drive it through the rev's some of the vvtl-i ones cane heg at high revs means it needs a good service like belts and stuff , There's also a TRD one which has 210bhp but only 1200 of these made and are rare enough theres arond 10 of them in ireland and they have a range of trd items on them. If its TRD it has a plate with its number on it under the hood.

well leather interior is normaly the vvti one which would bean irish or english car.

it depends on which package come with the car, its hard to get 1 with all the extras together. but if you look hard enough u will find 1

be careful hace a close look at the car have your own mechanic look at their cars ... they have some nice cars but few dodgey ones in my opinion
