Got my renewal yesterday:

22, 4 years ncb, Hibernian (through Insure.ie)
€1455

Thinking of changing companies but afraid of losing out on my drive other cars as I really need it (being a mechanic)

Are you not covered to drive on the policy of the person whose car you are working on? I think that is the case. Any person who is working on your car for the purposes of repairing or maintaining it is covered under your policy.

Garage policy in work only covers from 9-5 & then my work van is 24/7. For nixers I've to have my own policy with drive other cars otherwise get a garage policy but that's fair bit dearer & not worth it at the mo...

@ Gerbo: Never really trusted that to be honest plus I'm sure the person's not gonna be very happy you trying to claim off their policy god forbid anything ever happened...

Was looknig up insurance quotes there earlier on.... most places won't do an online quote for cars over 1600cc, said i'd have a go at 123.ie, they quoted me over €4,000!!! hahahaha

Did an online quote with quinn last nite it was only €1,300!!!

Insurance isn't up til august but never hurts to look around anyway!
