well its not a known weak point but same as any car if you abuse your box, it wont do it any good. You could get it re-conditioned? Not sure how much that costs

bad news so, hope it works out in the end for you. Only heard of 1 or 2 people with gearbox problems, yourself included!

the only real warrenty you get with a 2nd hand car is engine and gear box's. never heard a good story about them. i have heard them and north dublin cars are all the one lot. and go under a few different name's.

Yea went in to him a few times when i was on the look out and have to say IMO he is by far and away the most ignorant cars sales man I've ever met, tried to sell me a qualitat which had a horrible rattel from the exhaust no linning in the boot, and an engine managment light on. an absolute prick wouldn't by a news paper from him

iv said this about the place a few time before. a bloke i know works up there he is their panel beater. so put two and two together, a place importing cars that has an in house panel beater but yet none of the cars have dents or scratches. he has told me some horror stories about some of the cars that come in there, practicaly write offs. if your ever up there take a stroll down the back where the sheds are and you will see for your self.
