Just picked up a 1998 Altezza RS200 manual last night in Edinburgh. The drive back to Glasgow was fun! I've always owned jap imports with my main focus on the Starlet scene. With a growing family, I had to move away from Starlets to a more sensible family car so the Altezza seems to fit the bill nicely with a good combination of performance and practicality.
The Altezza is standard apart from a Blitz SUS induction kit, aftermarket clutch and billet flywheel (so I'm told). It's done 90K miles or a combination of miles and KM, I'm not sure. It was imported in 2004 and I'm the second owner since then.
Apart from getting used to the 6-speed box and using the whole rev range, the first chore will be tidying up all the niggles and giving it a thorough clean. After that it will be getting a full service and an inspection underneath.
Then, let the mods commence. I'll be trawling this forum for advice as I progress. I may also bring my JD tuning brand over to the Altezza scene as there doesn't seem to be many people/companies in the UK designing and making parts for them.
I'll get some pics posted asap.
