Hi there, I'm Gary, live in the UK about 30 miles south of London. Have owned my is200 for almost a year. Already started with the improvements, got a Cobra cat back with resonator (due to small ears in the rear) and induction kit. I have purchased a IKE turbo kit which is waiting to be fitted. I want to sort out handling first though and also looking at sourcing a 1g-gte bottom end or forging.

Not got the ike intake manifold for it, may be something I'll look into in the future though.

Excuse my lack of knowledge. What sort of work or conversion of which parts are you looking at doing in the bottom end please?

I only ask cos I have an engine noise and possible bottom end issues with my standard engine (I wont know until I do more investigation) but is it worth changing anything or whatever if I do need to go in there?

He's got the 6 cylinder 1gfe in his car, so completely different engines.

There was a guy about 10 years a go here in New Zealand running a 1ggte hybrid making some good power (think around 240kW) so good luck! Should be fun.
