ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

Newbie from USA

Postby tais300 » Mon Jul 28, 2014 5:14 pm

Hi everybody. As most of you know the USA got the short end of the stick and we never got an Altezza, but instead we got the Lexus branded is300. Same chassis but the nose heavy inline 6 can make cornering hard and so I've decided to take out the lump of a six and put the proper four cylinder engine into it's place and by the end of 2015 this car will be ready (hopefully) to compete in time attack. I am here to learn about the Altezza, specifically more so the 3SGE BEAMS engine and how it can be formed into a competitor to run against the Nissan S-chassis cars,( i used to own one, much more aggressive cornering ability). I am looking forward to learning from the experts and having help and ideas from true altezza tuners for my build. Thanks to all for allowing me to join. I do want to give props to Soiled Altezza, reading about his car and his advice has sealed the deal on a motor swap and to start a build.

welcome! Good story, more and more people are buying the 3sge to use as a track motor. Are you going to be staying the n/a way or turbo? n/a will be clutch, flywheel, headers and the rest of the exhaust... maybe some more aggressive cams and ecu. There's a guy on here that is using his n/a on the track, you can find his build here not much about the figures he's putting out though but it's looking promising! But one thing.. tuning these engines is $$$$$ haha.. suspension will be the usual, coilovers, braces etc... good luck and keep us posted!!

thanks for the welcomes. Since its hard to get parts for these cars Im going to be going the turbo route and aiming for about 500WHP out of it. However this will not be through the factory six speed. A four speed road race transmission will be hooked to it, its a left over part from my old mustang just waiting for an input shaft and bell housing to be done.
