ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

German GXE10 addict

Postby og 187 » Mon May 05, 2014 8:58 am

name: Sebastian
age: born in 1981
place: Germany next to Autobahn A7 right between Ulm and Memmingen
profession: Produktion engineer
problem: GXE-addict

my daily:
Lexus IS200 TTE compressor
MapECU2, 320cc injectors, 160mm pulley: 260hp
Eibach ERS with GC coilover sleeves on Koni yellow, Hotchkiss sways, OZ ultraleggera, ...
Image Image Image

and the Driftcar:
Lexus IS200, 2,5" DIY exhaust with Carbon Ti, TRD 2way, KW variante2, cutted knuckles, RCAs, Jun flywheel, pedal clutch, Sparco Rev, ...

I'm looking for some help with my driftcars brakes.
I had a bended brake pedal due to an emergency brake while drifting. We replaced almost everything brake related in the engine bay except the hard lines. The rear calipers had been redone lately. But still the rear brake wont release after some braking.

welcome! Are the rear calipers in OK condition? are the cylinders not stuck on? Nice rides you've got!

Welcome along.

Did you strip the pistons in the calipers to check there condition? Take them out sand back any corrosion with emery paper and grease them and see does that solve your problem

THX for your warm welcome ;)

I found the problem:
I had to adjust the position of the piston in the master brake cylinder. That can be done with the thread at the brake pedal. I had to pull it out a few threads and now the rear brakes can release again.
