Newbie - South East England

Postby sherbertmelon » Thu Mar 13, 2014 12:58 am

Yo dudes!

New to the engine! Familiar with the chassis! :)

I have owned an IS200 for a year and a bit, first car and couldn't of been more happier however, it soon dawned on me that the 1GFE as most of you will know doesn't really go anywhere with the TTE Supercharger and even then you still need the supporting mods to get it going. I started to save for one until the opportunity to get an Altezza was in front of me.

To be honest I have always wanted one since owning the IS200, prefer real JDM vehicles apposed to UKDM cars.

I now own a 6 Speed MT Beams 3SGE Altezza with a few goodies behind it...

Within ONE WHOLE DAY of owning the blimming thing the bottom end blew, big end bearings went and the problem persisted to an even worse situation. I won't go anymore into that but I am gutted and the poor thing will be stood up for a good month until I can fork out for a new engine.

I had the choice of break it for parts and scrap it as this would put me in a better financial position...or take it on the chin, be poor for a few months just to keep the thing on the road so that is what I'm gonna do. Brave the cold!

Current plans are to re-do the entire interior, new carpet, new trims, cloth pillars, black dash and full leather interior, sound proofing, and of course cable management as the Clifford system in there is a complete state! The whole interior so far has been ripped out and trashed, it was all battered and bruised and worthless. Since this is about all i can do for the time being I will be spending a long time on it!

I'm running a set of my genuine 18" TTE Speedline Corse wheels. 9 years old and not a scratch on them, accompanied by Achilles Radial 225/40/18 tyres.

I also run my own little business called Initial JPN

It's a little design/car breakers company where design websites, car decals, illustrations you name it as well as break IS200/IS300's for parts so if you need anything, drop me an inbox:

- Blue IS200 (black interior)
- Dark Grey IS200 (black interior)
- Silver IS200 (black interior)
- Blue IS300 (cream interior)
