Newbie from South Korea

Postby uneek_kid » Mon Feb 17, 2014 9:36 am

Hi to All My name is Harry- "U-Neek Kid" from Puerto Rico and station in South Korea, moving to Germany in the next couple of months. I just bid and won in an auction ( a friend of mine is a director there) in Japan for a 2003 Toyota Altezza RS200 L edition, Blue, Manual Trans. can't wait for it to get here. I've been lusting for a Lexus IS300 since 2001 when I first saw it back in Puerto Rico, also kept looking for it when I lived in Miami. but looks like 90% of the IS300's in the US are automatic. and I always wanted it in blue, black interior, manual trans. finally and can say I'm going to get it. import tuner enthusiast, had a 99 Eclipse and a 2008 Scion TC prior to coming to Korea but sold them. now I'm scheduled to go to Germany so I've will be taking my RS200 with me. wanted to join to learn more about the Tezza's and if someone has information on how to make it US spec so I can later take it back with me to the US will be greatly appreciated. and also need websites that will have parts for the RS200, since all I get from the US is for the Lexus IS300 that is a 3.0 liter versus the 2.0 RS200. hope to make new friends here that are interested in the Altezza and have a great day

Welcome to the club Harry! Good that you found an L-Edition, this has some other options that the Z-Edition doesn't have. For partnumbers you can try toyodiy.com that is where I get my partnumbers from. You're going to move to Germany? Where in Germany will you be stationed? I live in Holland If you're closeby we can meet sometime haha... About converting it to US spec, that I can't help you with, maybe someone else can... Post up some pics of your car when you get her! Good luck and have a good time on here.. lot's to learn about our cars!

Thank you all for the welcome, I finally received my Altezza RS200, but it's not an L is a Z edition! no biggie, anyways! it's RHD and never drove on the other side of a car since I'm from Puerto Rico/USA but it was weird for a little bit that first day, but know is a breeze and I loved it!. can't wait to start getting my parts, got a HKS air filter, some Megan Racing lowering springs, and little by little keep upgrading it. just got my HKS speed limiter defencer.
