Toyotanutz

Postby Oldskoolcool » Sun Nov 24, 2013 10:13 pm

Hello fellow toyota folks. I'm joining you from canada. Looking to buy some things and borrow some knowledge from you guys. I'm in the beginning steps of converting my ae86 to be beams 3sge blacktop powered. I use it to drift and wanted more then a 4ag could provide power wise in a stock form. To me the way I drive my drift car, reliability is the biggest factor and using a stock engine and maintaining well is the answer to success in my eyes.

I also own a 72 Datsun 510 and a 71 Toyota crown custom wagon

I was having troubles uploading pics. The other night so let's retry this.

I'm all about classics toyotas, I no longer own the silver corolla wagon but it was a massive error to sell it.

So I own the ae86 it's now painted and awaiting its beams motor and truck rearend

I picked up a 71 Toyota crown custom wagon, I am the 3rd owner, but really the 2nd, it was an old mans stored in a car port since 1991 when a brake issue rendered it parked, then the old man passed on and his daughter became the legal owner but never touched the car. So I swooped in like all crazy Toyota nuts would and safes it from a life of sitting unloved..

This is how 86 the sat last summer

This is my 1972 Datsun 510. Another vehicle I found that sat for many years. The previous owner passed away 15 years prior to me finding it. He had swapped in an l20b engine and retained the auto transmission. So far I have fixed some electrical demons and repaired the entire brake system. I have drove it a bit before the trans killed itself, I have replaced the auto with another auto. But I have everything in my shop I need to convert it to a manual trans. I just think it's worth a bit more money if it's not hacked up lots

massive 2m power

my 86 is the green one, my buddy lukas owns the red car i have built mine from stock and his i maintain, the last owner built it very very poorly, so bad if i met the guy id smack some sense into him
Image
hard to see the paint of mine but heres a close up in the sun it pops hard

this was the first season i had my 86 at the track 6 days after purchase.

this was an old drift missile that was short lived due to excessive rust, once i welded the rear diff i tore the 4 link mount clean off the chassis

i sold this one, but i had a original 68 510 with good vins, i bought it to use the vins for my 72 but decided it was not worth the hassle or the waste of a good shell so i sold this to a good pal who had wanted one for longer then me

this car was the definition of a back 40 find, broke down dirt biking and walked out and found this guys place, got a shotgun pointed at me until i showed interest in cars and not thieving his belongings.

finally because I'm from north america and rotaries sucks
