It's actually headlight washers you have to have with Xenon (HID) headlights. If you even notice all cars with Xenons from factory have hem mounted in the front bumper... Think the reasoning behind it is the intensity of the light. If your headlights are dirty the light is refracted badly...

Did a course in Hella a while back, and according to them HID's are illegal unless the car has automatic levellers and washers fitted.. But like ye said the average Garda wouldn't know.. The NCT boys aren't bothered either- Wife's motor has them reto-fitted and it passed.. :?

knew this was the case with the washers but didnt know about the auto levelers
