Chipped paint

Driving behind a truck when a bit of gravel took a tiny chip of pint off the front of the bonnet its barley visable but i wont be able to leave it i hate when anything like this happens

You can get a paint touch up kit from Toyota for around 20 quid ... :wink:

so hows ur side lamp/back bumper??by the way i was in clondalkin the other nite..........with some eggs!ha ah no seriously thats f*** lousy,just pure jealousy.im als paranoid bout leaving the car around town

I bought mine from this ebay seller, works out around €17 shipped if ya can't be arsed going to Toyota...

the one i got is a perfect colour match, if you get your paint code off the chassi plate then you should get an exact match.

The best way i found is to release the paint from the pen onto a fine artist brush and dab it into the chip, let it dry and do it again until you gradually build it up to the level of the surrounding paint... just make sure the area is crystal clean before you start ;)

It's on a metal plate with the chassis number etc under the bonnet.

The code on the chassis plate is the original paint code, if it's been resprayed different then you'll need the new code or get a body shop to mix you a match maybe.
