HID Kit Not Working

Postby peter0991 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 12:53 am

Hey guys, wondering if any of you can help me.

Got one of these kits the other week.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270666042810? ... 1497.l2649

As I got to installing it earlier, I found out that it doesnt work when plugged in.

Ive got power coming out of the bulb connector and the HID bulbs run fine directly off the battery. But they dont want to work when wired in correctly.

Am I missing something here? Can this be something to do with the fact that its a Bi Xenon kit?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

yep they are the wrong polarity for the altezza.
turn the plug round and put a cable tie round it so it stays together as the clips will be on opposite sides.

Are they definitely HB4/9006?
Why complain when nobody listens?

You ordered Kit with H4 bulbs and this is why they are not working,

You need to get HB4 bulbs

Yip! Turn plug round (+) and (-). Mine were the same and had to ask on site too.

I had to cut a small ridge off 1 side of the plug though.

Well, if you scroll down on the ebay link it clearly shows that they are HB4/9006 bulbs. But the title seems to state otherwise.

I will get home this weekend and change the polarity to see if it works. Which I think it will.

The connectors are the right type, so it must be down to polarity.

Will update this once I give it a try.
