I didnt say im thinkign or want to get them just people opinion of what they think, also you should see various us based japanese car forums with people wanting these very sought after there ! obviously what us enthuisiasts /owners want are slightly different to european owners want !! i make do without any parking sensors for mine and still park fine however strangely a toyota iq i use for work has rear parking sensors, second hand and came with it, not that i need them either :)

ok fair enough you're not getting them but i like other would like to know WTF are they??

Are they meant to help when parking?
Are they just meant to look "cool"?
Are they too allow you to keep in touch with the little men in the sky?

WTF?

they are like little aerial mounted on the front bumper of the car, when you park you press the button and the aerial extends vertically and it can be seen from the drivers seat, it gives you better idea on how close the front bumper is to the other car or wall

its very useful in very big cars that can be difficult to park

As above say ^^
You can get fixed ones that dont extend i prefer ones that are motorised like an electric antenna, looks cleaner :) as i said its sought after thing amongst jap car owners in US even on civic hatch /sedan /corollas like not exactly big cars or difficult to park and alot fit them on the left hand side despite being LHD so obviously they did it for the JDM look so yes you can say its meant to be cool atleast they think it is ! & the US dont exactly have small roads or parking spaces !!!
