Strange Rear Speakers

Postby r3volut1on » Tue Oct 30, 2007 8:23 pm

Anybody removed their rear shelf to upgrade the rear speakers and found that it is a OEM 6x9 speaker, but not wit 4 connections on it, just the two? My Tezza didnt hav the mid and tweeter wired seperate, its just one pair of connections instead of two.... and it doesnt have the factory amp either... :)

the speakers should have a connection visible from when you remove the rear shelf on the top of the shelf and then a 2 connections on the bottom of the speaker when u look at them from inside the boot

Was just wondering, because they are OEM fitted speakers, definitely not Aftermarket as they have the OEM mounts, but have Nakamichi stamped on them, and from my experience with Car audio, Nakamichi is one of the more expensive brands comparable to Bose, so was just wondering how come it was different to other peoples Tezza's.....?

Because they are aftermarket. Toyota definately did not put Nakamichi speakers in an altezza. It sounds to me like they have been fitted on the original mounts very well and look factory.

You got lucky, be happy
