stereo trimming

Postby thefridge » Thu May 29, 2008 6:32 pm

also i rang toyota today to get a price on the original one and its 52+vat. Quite expensive compared to the autoleads one. Anyone got opinion on which one is better. No point spending 25 on one that won't fit properly. Is the toyota one worth it.

Toyota one is definitely worth it. If you don't care that the autoleads one doesn't match the finish of the rest of your dash then get that. The Toyota ones is much better quality and no assembly required. the auto leads on is very fragile. I had both ill try did out some pictures of both so you can see the difference

Edit found them!! Not the best pics.

Autoleads one:

the main cubble hole and bit that goes around the edge of the radio kept falling off and i had to glue them on. On altering you need to make to the Toyota one is cut the blanking plate to size so your new head unit fits out. You can get a storage box to go under a single din unit with the Toyota adapter but its an extra 70 euro on top of the 50 for the facia!
