18 pin iso?

trying to install a halfords dvd player, got the iso on the internet, wrong one dosent fit. the female 18 pin coming from the amp wont fit to the male iso that i bought (PC2-17-4) - anyone any suggestions? or other types of leads you can get to fit cause i cant find any on the internet! cheers

The lead you have connects to the plug you have to remove from the amp.

does your lead look like this?

If you've got an amp then you've got the wrong cable.

ok i got the bypass lead, all fits fine.

NEXT PROBLEM.

The DVD player does not turn on, checked all fuses and all is ok. Anybody Know what might be the problem?

What bypass lead you get?some of the, are terribly made.

Sounds like you need to get a fluke multimeter on it and check the wire for voltage and continuity, if you have any mates who are electricians get them to test the connector mate.
