evo 7 recaros AIRBAG LIGHT

Postby tezzaian » Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:39 pm

i just bought two evo 7 recaros to put in my 98 altezza, bolting and brackets are no problem.. the wires under the seat i was just wonderin what they done, think it bight be the seat belt tensioner, i have NCT on monday and dont want to risk airbag lights being on... if i disconnect the orignal seats and the light goes on, and i replace the seat with recaro, is there any chance when i reconnect orignal seat the light will go off and be back to standard with no problems??? really stuck thanks!!!!

Well, this happened me when i fitted the recaros from a dc5 to my altezza
if you can get a 2ohm resistor it will put the airbag light out
i cut the old yellow plug of my old seats and solder a 2ohm resistor into each one for each seat and the light has stayed out and passed mot no problem.
i take it your airbag light is flashing??

I took off seat belt holsters and left them plugged into the car, then removed standard seats put recaros in and bolted new seats in and bolted on the seat belt holster to new seats, straight forward job... thanks

hi lads, was wondering would yous be able to help me, i got a set of evo8 recaros at the weekend and was just wondering what way you went about making the rails?? I was half thinking of adopting a set of original Altezza rails or just starting from scratch and picking up the Evo holes...

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance
If in doubt... grab a bigger a Hammer :D
