Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

Re: Erratic idle

ohh i thought you meant engine thermostat. I thought the thing in the throttle body was just to heat the body up to stop it freezing?

Re: Engine rattle @3000-4000 rpm + powerless

I think it saves a sensor fault even if it only works sometimes so it would show up on a diagnostic. I doubt a compression check will fail but its worth doing if you have the kit just to rule it out too. Knock sensor would register on the diagnostics i think. If you found a loose intake hose its wor...

Re: Erratic idle

I doubt its the flywheel, light flywheels do have some effect on idle but it would do it all the time. how have you bypassed the stat? I dont quite get what you mean. if you miss the stat (by runing without it) then it wont make a difference, youll just never get to temperature. erratic idle seems t...

Re: intercoolr VS charge cooler

One thing ill say about the manifold is if you go twin scroll you will probably struggle to fit it in. I made a manifold for my single turbo with an external wastegate and even that was difficult to fit in. If i dont it again I could probably make it a bit better fitting but it is a bit of a nightma...

Re: Engine rattle @3000-4000 rpm + powerless

91 is quite a low fuel to run it on. best bet is to try some high octane fuel and see if it goes! easy enough to do and if it doesnt cure it atleast you know its not that

Re: intercoolr VS charge cooler

ive never seen it done on an altezza, its quite a big job like oaasport says so not great for a street car. Personally the only reason i'd go that far myself is if i had some mega power and an intercooler just didnt cut it. You could go down the water injection route instead, bit less work and maint...

Re: intercoolr VS charge cooler

Charge coolers are usually more effective and they don't have to be mounted right at the front. The old subaru wrc cars ran charge coolers, we used to run it with dry ice. you can run it at some serious boost because the air going in was so cold, we ran 4 bar of boost and got stupid amounts of torqu...

Re: Camber kit

There is a bit of adjustment from factory. As long as you haven't lowered it loads you should be able to bring the camber back on standard arms

Re: Need help with head removal(engine in car)

Yes the pas has to come off but stay connected. Look directly at the pulley from the front and there are 3 bolts, you can get in to undo them through the holes in the pulley then you gotta prise it off the bracket. It's quote a tight fit. There is stuff on the back of the head too, a water line into...

Re: Misfire and low compression on Cylinder #4....Info..?

I dont see how an injector could cause scoring to the bore, unless it was running too rich and giving you borewash but i dont think a poorly seated injector would do that. A wet compression test is definitely the next step, a normal compression test doesn't really tell you much it's just good for sp...
