Re: Stroker Kit Q.

As for an engine management, Link noticed the g4 ecu being used on 3sge altezza engines and now offer a plug and play unit that has the same featurea as the storm ecu. After the cost of a g4 storm, wiring it in and tuning, you could spend the little extra get the same features and get a base map to ...

Re: Low RPM stutter in gear and air fuel ratio question

Does the car sound like a dry cough when it is starting? If it does check all the fuel lines for leaks. If it sounds like a dry cough its not getting addequate fuel. Air getting into the lines can cause A sutter, might not be a good suggestion but might be worthlooking into

Re: Stroker Kit Q.

What size stroker are you going to? Are you going 2.16 with a 91mm stroke or a true 2.2 with 93mm stroke? Increasing engine size especially on a true 2.2 should be tuned with revised timing and fuel maps. Going an na stroker route i would by a link g4 ecu as it has an auto tune feature that ive pers...

2.5 stroker using 5sfe block?

Aimed for celicara45, but does anybody know about using the 5sfe block with a beams head? I have a machinist who is competent in drilling the oil and water passages to match the beams head. Im assuming external oil lines to control vvti. Also im having a custom oil pan and sump for drain back and oi...

Re: anyone running a watter cooled turbo?

Ran both water cooled gate and turbo on my 240sx. Extra hot parts make water hotter, i ran an upgraded radiator external oil cooler on my 240sx. I did first what you did, ran them to the jeater hose. It got HOT inside the cab. My tuner laughed at me after close to getting heat stroke. Told me dont r...

Re: Altezza increased steering lock brain storming

Id buy figs hysteer knuckles. They give.an extra 5 degrees of angle and help correct bump steer, which is needed on a drift car. If i had $2700 usd id buy the complete pro angle kit. I dont trust cutting and welding knuckles, much less a control arm which is under so much stress. Adding track width ...

Re: Clicking/rattle noise when engine is running

I can make put the whining of the cam gears but the knocking noise i slightly hear in the background sounds hollow. If its a hollow knock it.means dont drive it and get your bottom end looked at. If the.knock sounds like a hammer tapping wood its valvetrain related. If it sounds like a hammer tappin...

Re: TPS and extended cranking

Ok hitting your brakes drops the idle down and feels like its gonna stall? I think your idle problem has nothing to do with electronics at all. Check all of the vacuum lines. If your losing breaking power and getting the engine jumping you have a vacuum leak thats severe. I was kinf at stalling in m...

Re: Sway Bar Advice

Sask, if your in north america you own an is300 right,? Id get the stiffer bars as we dont have a 4-banger and ended up with the heavyweight of an i-6. The stiffer bars will help turn in, and flatter cornering asumming you get springs to suit the sway bar. So my suggeation is pick up a book from car...
