Aftermarket Alarm/central Locking Issues (Use my Cobra alarm to unlock doors)

Hi everyone, I'm finally getting around to fixing my alarm so it works properly and after some Altezza specific advice please :) My RS200 hasn't got a factory alarm or remote central locking etc but it has a Cobra alarm/immobiliser fitted (Cobra 7928) that has been fitted years and I have the certif...

Re: Yet another low idle thread

Hope you get it sorted :) Did the above work?

I cant help much unfortunately as I've not had this issue (yet) other than odd idling after battery has been disconnected and then it just sorts itself out after a day or two of driving the car ;)

Re: engine oil and gear oil

Hi and welcome :)

I presume if its a 6 cylinder that its an AS200 Altezza and fitted with the 1GFE engine?

I'm not completely sure of the details for these as Ive got the RS200 so best to wait for someone with an As200 or IS200 to comment more accurately ;)

Re: Newbie

Hi and welcome to the club! cant think of any specifics really other than the same basics as most cars. Have a good check for oil leaks and listen for any creaking suspension in case of ball joints. Where are you based and are you looking at Freds car by any chance (just wondering if may have alread...

Not sure on this one but can you not use the manifold/front pipe of the manual car with the one O2 sensor and the original manual ECU and wiring etc?

Re: clutch fitment

Hmmmm, this is interesting. I've got an unbranded lightweight flywheel and a TRD clutch on it. Will probably look to replace the clutch next year. Will this need to be a specific clutch to go with a solid lightweight flywheel then? I hadn't given it much thought and presumed that any clutch would wo...

Re: Need front mounts

Possibly or possibly not. Depends if you mean the whole mount (including the metal bracket bits) or just the rubber bit with the threads on? A quick look on ebay shows the same for both the IS200 and IS300 for the latter and that covers two engines (1F-GE and 2JZ-FE). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS...

I also only have the coin holder ones but the flat ones must be available from somewhere as my alarm LED is fitted into a flat blank! good luck find...

Re: blacktop beams throttle body conversion kit

That's interesting Tosh! So you were running 100% cable throttle and all original TPS, ECU etc but it didn't really give much improvement to the response? Maybe the issue isn't actually the throttle then and it is something else holding it back? ECU or something?
