ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

Re: Code P1354

Presumably, once the EML comes back on and the rough running occurs, the original error code comes back?

Re: Newbie from uk - Gita awd

Great work! :) I presume this is a 2JZ engine and the same as the Lexus IS300 apart from the AWD being the obvious difference and benefit? Not sure if the colour is the same as the Lexus colour (but with different name) as I know most of the colours were the same but had different names. I have got ...

Re: Car backfiring when given full throttle and hesitates

Try unplugging a coil in turn. (eg. Run engine, see how it sounds/backfires/misses cylinder then turn engine off unplug coil 1 retry to see if sounds same. Then plug that back in then remove coil 2 plug, start and see what it sounds like etc etc) If you have got a coil breaking down, when you run it...

Re: Lightweight fly wheel or no?

I have got nothing to compare to as when I got the car it already had the lightweight flywheel on but I love the way it is with it fitted and it's my daily and it doesn't make it hard to drive or anything. The previous owner included a box of parts and in it was the original dual mass flywheel. When...

Re: Is200 security light flashing.

Not sure on this but I presume you havent got a spare key that you can try? Have you looked inside the box where the ECU lives to seen any signs of damage or water etc?

Re: IS300 Clutch Master Cylinder

Not sure on this one myself but it would be useful to know, as it is for any parts that are or aren't interchangeable between the IS200/300 and the RS200 :)

Sounds good and sensible price! Good luck with the sale.

Is there any way you can put links to photos elsewhere maybe to help your sale?

Re: Fuse/relay question.

It does sound like eletrical gremlins from relays or wiring or that you have got some water in somewhere (on the ECU maybe?) For the fuel gauge though, its got to be worth taking the rear seat out and pump out to check the flaot and change the fuel filter while you are there. i put off changing my f...

Re: Looking for a flywheel

Mine has had a solid, lightened flywheel all the time I have had the car and the previous owner fitted it. He told me it was the one off ebay which is this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-ALTEZZA-2-0-SXE10-3SGE-LIGHTENED-AND-BALANCED-FLYWHEEL-/361477725705?hash=item5429c05e09:g:19QAAOxy5QtSAhG...

Re: Compression test ?!

It will vary dependant on age and condition but the most important thing is that it is fairly consistant across all cylinders. If there is more than 10% difference in any of them then something is up. For reference, mine got 158 - 160 - 160 - 165 when I did it last year or so. Some engines get more ...

Re: VVTI not engaging .

How long has the oil been in there? If a while, give it a fresh oil and filter change with 5w30 oil and see how it feels after that?
