Re: Cam pulley

Thanks Tosh. Happy with all that, and certainly wont take them apart (but I have two in the box which have been by PO!) My only concern is that because the pulley can rotate as part of the vvit (albeit under oil pressure) without moving the camshaft itself, what is the default position of the pulley...

Cam pulley

Need a bit of help setting up the static timing... What is that correct static position for the vvti pulleys? I appreciate the marks lining up, but as both pulley have a few degrees of rotation for the vvti, where should they be for the initial set up? Obviously the pulleys are in a fixed position o...

Electrical failure

I've now rebuilt my Altezza....but have a major electrical issue! The loom had been cut from the car and I've had to reconnect it all. Initially I managed to get the alternator light on, car turned over but no firing. I finally managed to get it to fire and run..badly. Now the alternator light fails...

Re: Racing Calipers

Just an update on this - I finally got some brackets made to fit AP CP3799 calipers - very shiny! They are aluminium so if anyone wants a pair, let me know. Now have decent stopping power with 330 discs and braided lines.

Wiring

I've got one +ve lead from the battery to the starter motor, but thinking there should be another? I've also got...
