Re: My First Build

Been a busy few weeks for me! Got under the car to have a good look over stuff, coilovers needed some urgent loving. The rings on my dampers were slightly corroded http://i58.tinypic.com/jkh89s.jpg Bit fell off when I had the impact gun on the bolt holding the damper to the lower arm! Rear topmounts...

Re: 98 RS200 with 01-05 coils?

I'm running 1 new spec pack on my 2000, it fires and sounds fine. needs the mount cutting off to fit though and it sits much higher so need 2 dust boots. It seems to be fine but I've been struggling alot with my engine recently so it might be down to the pack. You can get the old ones from toyota I ...

Re: engine management light on overrun?

SOLVED! For anyone else who might have this problem in the future. Ran it again and had a nice listen, sounded very odd and thought it was a misfire. engine on, unplug each coil pack one by one expecting engine revs to drop. The one that makes no difference to the revs is gone. Other forums were say...

Re: engine management light on overrun?

I've been doing alot of searching and I think it might the power FC. was already on it when I bought the car and has no hand controller so I have a feeling the previous owner didn't get it mapped so the ecu panics when its driven hard and cuts power. rough idle seems to be an issue if i...

Re: engine management light on overrun?

oh yea, there is a sensor above the exhaust manifold towards the back of the engine. not sure what the sensor is but is it possible that the heat from the manifold is effecting it?

engine management light on overrun?

So my Tezza doesn't like to idle and if left on idle it eventually stalls. Happened today so I waited a minute n tried to start it while pumping the pedal hoping she would choke to life. Struggled for a while then started eventually. Took her for a test drive and after hitting high revs I left it on...

Re: My First Build

Done some general bits on the car while waiting for wheels and tyres to arrive. Replaced the thermostat which turned out to be the hardest thing in the world! For anyone planning to do one I'd suggest dropping the manifold out, gives you lots more space and you can just pull the whole hose up with t...
