Re: Engine Knocking/Rattle! :(

Hmmm, not sure. I wouldnt say that it took Dad that much to turn the spanner first time and the resistance was probably just the springs maybe or bit like when you turn the crank over you get a bit more resistance in the position when compression is different etc. presume that your timing belt / ma...

Re: Engine Knocking/Rattle! :(

Like at first the intake cam was stiff as hell then all of a sudden with constant pressure on the spanner she moved and now is free as a bird in both directions ... So maybe something broken inside the sprocket and now I will have the same problem as you when I go to start it hahaha .. But didn't se...

Re: Urgent help needed

Standard thread mate, left to loosen. It is done to a pretty massive torque, I had a massive 20inch snap on bar on it and I had to fully rock the bar to get it to break loose. Put the car in gear, hand brake on too so that the engine locks. After you get the bolt off you can't remove the pulley wit...

Re: 2jzgte and what gearbox

What I'm going for is a fully stripped out drift car .. I'd say 400 break will be enough for starters then go for a big single turbo ... As for weight I'll try even it out by relocating stuff to the boot and maybe ad some weight in the rear haha ... Possibly r154 is looking the best bet at this stag...

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

Ha almost the same parts ordered over here.. Lovely sounding car mate but you should consider to install a dump or recirc valve as the nice flutter sound is the charged air passing the turbo compressor wheel backwards after the throttle is shut (and rapidly slowing down the fast moving compressor w...

Re: 1999 Altezza won't start please help!

May be worth checking all the fuses just incase. you shouldn't have oil on your plugs really, usually means there's oil in the cylinders. Any chance you could do a compression test? Just for piece of mind I think he means when you take out the coil pack there oil on the top of the plugs as in the g...
