Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

Two of mine where 170 psi and two where 165 psi cyclinder 2-3 where 165 and they where the two with leaking valves the others where ok .. I suspect you have a slight valve leak if yours a 158ish Yeah my head is melted with this altezza it's been a fairly unlucky car .. Maybe it doesn want to be turb...

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

Yeah I had low compression on cyclinder two and three but that was down to valves leaking and cyclinder two is perfect now compression the same across them all except cyc has 0 compression not even attempting to make any compression I'm suspecting a dropped valve or something stuck in the valve hold...

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

So after getting the car back together I anxiously started the car to my believe it ran and started first go was a bit rattley at the start but it soon settled when it warmed up ran it for 45 min no bother to it then all of a sudden she starts running on three cylinders so I though another coil pack...

Re: 2jzgte Altezza or is200

Yeah I was thinking of that gearbox or the 530d box but adapter plates are mad money ... I can get a r154 box with relevant bell housing to suit 2jz for 1000 euro so that seems ok ... As for ecu I dunno yet was gonna run it stock for time been then when I feel like I need more power go for single tu...

Re: 2jzgte Altezza or is200

Since I come from the U.S.A I deal with the is300 which only has a 6-cylinder I've driven a few 2jzgte powered ones and boy they are fun!, but the are very very imbalanced. Adding the 6 cylinder is costly and puts weight right over the front wheels so you lose the weight balance. Adding a 2jzgte wi...

Re: Website Feedback

Colour scheme was good .. I like the way it is now aswel though it seems to be more mobile friendly ... As the old way was not mobile friendly as much as this is ... I would think instant message would be a good feature to add or maybe it's just me :) anyway that's just my two cents .. Keep up the g...

Re: Engine Knocking/Rattle! :(

Yeah a leak down test is the way to do it while engine is intact .. But if you have the head off fill the with petrol until you cover the valve faces then with a air line blow threw the inlet side and exhaust side doing you best to cover up the side your doing with a rag so you get most of the press...

Re: Engine Knocking/Rattle! :(

I THINK the spring is meant to re position it after its moved. Or like you said the oil repositions it. It takes quite a few cranks to build oil pressure so make sure before you do to turn the whole engine by hand with a spanner on the bottom pulley bolt. do it atleast twice so you do a full rotati...

Re: Engine Knocking/Rattle! :(

Head is easy to get off just pain staking there is a lot if striping to be done but it's no real issue ... Just time consuming .. Only problem I had was the crank pulley but after taking the rad out to give me more room to fit a larger impact gun in it was simple after that again just pain in the as...

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

That just sounds lovely! How much did the timingbelt kit cost you in the end? Saving up to do this this year... Em can't remember exactly but around the 300 mark I think ... On other news have the car completely stripped down now and I am currently cleaning up valves as there was a slight compressi...
