Re: Steering wheel boss

i know one meant for an mr2 fits. i just dont know what model mr2 it was  If that's the case I would have though Mk2 since that was around at the time of the Altezza. I've fitted a new wheel to mine but as above, internet searching for an RS/AS/IS200 specific one was fruitless. I was fortunate...

Re: Identify my shocks...

Bushes could be a point to check tbh. It's in getting tires (again  ) next week so i will have a haul around while it's in the air. Interesting that TRD go stiffer on the back than the front. Looking at those, there seems to be a trend for being between 5 and 8 and then it jumps up to 10+ (on m...

Re: Identify my shocks...

@ Babyeater, It's an image I found on Google (the only image of these shocks assembled on the whole internet it would seem...) Mike, It's quite the opposite in all honesty, the rear is as planted as anything! I can feel the rear end squatting and leaning quite a lot more compared to the front (harne...

Re: Identify my shocks...

Well, after a couple of calls to Billstein EU, I've discovered they're a Japan-only model so they don't have any record of them whatsoever on their EU system. The only reason they knew they were Japan-only is because the M0 at the end of the part number is apparently BilsteinJapan's 'limited edition...

Re: Rear Anti-Roll bar - Modification?

best thing would be to drill a new hole closer to the bend of the arb. I had considered that but there doesn't seem to be much room inside the existing hole to make another hole a significant distance away. Worth a shot though I guess before forking out for an uprated one (they don't seem to be abu...

Rear Anti-Roll bar - Modification?

Hi Guys. Just wondering, is the rear ARB on the Altezza made from spring or mild steel? Is it solid or tubular? Also, does anyone know if a visible weld on a suspension component would be a fail in a UK MOT? I'm looking to stiffen the rear bar on the 'Tez, and the simplest and cheapest method I coul...

Re: Identify my shocks...

Unfortunately the paint on the springs is in a bit of a bad way and has flaked off in a lot of places, so unless the codes are on the back side of them I can't see them. It's also pouring with rain outside so it's not ideal weather for going out and taking pictures  However, a quick Google imag...

Identify my shocks...

Hi guys. Hoping somebody here can maybe shed some light on the specs of my bilstein shocks if possible. I've emailed the codes to bilstein directly but I've never heard back from them, nor can i find an rs/as/is kit in their current range, so I have no clue as to the specs of my suspension kit (was ...

My Laguna Legana RS200-Z

Hi Guys. Since I've had the 'Tezz for about 6 months now I figured it was about time I started one of these to log my progress and problems. It's probably all been done before, gone in and out of fashion, liked, disliked and whatnot, but the joys of modifying a car is that it's your wants, your need...

Re: quick answer needed, brake warning light and bonging.

No matter what the previous seller has told you, Fluids and a full service should be done on a car when you buy it.. Better safe than sorry. . Sounds like a faulty sensor or something to me :? Aye, I changed all the other fluids as soon as i got it, just never did the brake fluid. Seems like a good...

Re: quick answer needed, brake warning light and bonging.

Checked the connector at the res sensor, looked good and dry. Reconnected it and it hasnt belonged since. Odd. Will have a look at changing the fluid as a matter of course anyway, ive had it 6 months and not done it yet. Is be supprised if its an abs sensor as the abs and trc ar working fine.

quick answer needed, brake warning light and bonging.

Hi guys. Currently sitting at the roadside... On my way home from work and the brake warning light (lights up and bongs when the handbrake is applied) is flashing and binging away like morse code, occationally its a steady rhythm. Checked fluid levels, theyre all fine, pads are fine, abs works (last...

Speed sensitive PAS on Altezza?

Hi guys. Not sure if this is the right section but there isn't a 'steering' section. Anyway... Does the Altezza have speed sensitive Power Steering? My mates MR2 Turbo (also JDM and therefore converted from km/h to mph) had it fitted, but due to it reading off the now mph Speedo it always thought it...

14000km is what, just shy of 9k miles? Seems about right for the old v-cut f1's.

Re: What would you guys say my wheels are worth ?

i wouldn't worry about the rubber myself ,just give the wheels a good refurb and test the water . Plus you wouldnt ever get back what you paid for the rubber. 400 quids worth of rubber isnt going to add 400 quid to the value. A bit of a tidy up and the current rubber (unless its thread bare/illegal...
