Original on the left. Mine on the right. http://i243.photobucket.c...

Re: Help with Damper adjustment knob

Nice and simple test:

Turn it so that the white end of the slot points to #1.
Bounce the car.
Turn it so that the white end of the slot points to #6.
Bounce the car.

Is it damped any stiffer at #6? If not then that would suggest a problem.

Re: Diff oil

I didn't realise you can improve on the torsen diff might give that a go, In RC model racing we use different weight oils to adjust the limited slip effect of a geared diff (we use adjustable ball LSD's too but thats totally different). They tend to be open geared diffs rather than mini torsen's (t...

I knew before I clicked it that it would be Mako's Sileighty. I watch too much Initial D

An Altezza also makes a brief appearence against Takumi's AE86, and also gets beaten.

Maybe they need to clean their AFMs?

Re: Has anyone here used Castrol Edge Sport 10W 60 in their

Just done a service on my Beams, Toyota OE filter and Toyota OE 5-30. I figured since that's what the engine was originally filled with, it's sfficient. Though if I get round to doing drift/track days I will look into replacing the oil with a known-good track oil.
