Re: E-throttle not working - HELP

you have put it together wrong. its gone into limp home mode so it will idle at 2000 rpm and the throttle pedal will only work when it has dropped to more than half of its pedal travel. i had this happen to me last week on the m1 in the average speed camera zone so i had to keep driving for ages bef...

Re: clutch info

the friction plate is the same and so is the release bearing but some pressure plates don`t come with the holes for the dowels on the flywheel in the correct place on altezza`s. Toyota optifit clutches for a 1gfe definitely fit both though. an exedy organic clutch will be more than capable of handli...

Re: 1999 IS200 OBD-II ?

the one under the bonnet is the old dlc (diagnostic link connector) that can be used as a flasher code reader by shorting specific terminals.
the one by your right knee in a rhd car is called dlc3 and is standard fare on pretty much all cars produced after 1997 apart from nissan and vag cars.

Re: Oil Feed for Turbo

or whip the sump off and get a hose union welded in so a rubber pipe can be clamped on to it.
thats what most b- series honda turbo`s have and it work fine.

you could even add another baffle to the sump to prevent oil being pushed back into the return

Re: 3sge/3sgte

standard Toyota gaskets can be stacked up to three separate gaskets thick without issue. Toyota are very good when it comes to engine gaskets, a lot of people use oem ones in 2bar+ turbo engines with no problems. I have a 1.2mm hks gasket in my altezza which im sure can be bought from sumopower. min...

Re: Oil Feed for Turbo

apart from welding another return into the sump t-ing into the existing return pipe is your best bet. thats how mine has been done but i have sprung a leak  now i need to re-plumb the return using braided hose and some decent joiners and unions. when i have it apart later i will get some pictu...

Re: Angel Eyes / Halo Rings Installation

the 1000 degrees is measured at the tip of the heat gun, if you hold the heat gun about 30cm from the light it should be less than 600 degrees when it gets to the light and then only a portion of that heat energy will transfer to the light as it is being blown over it. in other words, don`t worry ab...
