Ah, -3.5 on the front. That's why it doesn't understeer that much.
Thanks!

PS.
I had ST246 Caldina GT-Four, that's a brilliant reliable family car :).

Re: A JDM Daily driver.

I went down exactly same path for exactly same reasons.
3 years later Altezza is not a friendly daily anymore and it is for sale.
Wife has Nissan March for daily beating and I ordered an RX7 for myself. :)
Compromises rarely work.

Re: A JDM Daily driver.

IMHO: Man, you live in Japan with cars being so cheap there.
Just buy a JZX100 TourerV and be done with it. You will spend much more money on 3S engine, which will not perform remotely close to 1JZ. You can even go with R34 GT-S 4 door for that much money. Why bother with Altezza?

Re: fuel problems still!!

Get AEM 320LPH pump.
I installed them on 3 cars - no problems whatsoever. It even survived empty tank couple of times.

Re: Recommended head gasket thickness for turbo

1.8mm is what I run.
It still knocks on torque peak with running reasonable timing. I wish there was proper 98 octane in Ireland.

Re: How to swap auto to manual

Do you know if you have to rewire o2 sensors ?? as i got a manual exhaust and they only have one and my auto had two ? Are you using manual or auto ecu? If manual - it's a bit tricky, I had to sit down with a multimeter to figure out which wires go where as they are pinout is different from auto. N...

GT3071 will have too much lag.
GTX series looks much better. I wish I had money for one:

Re: 400+ Bhp altezza

Toda low comp pistons + rods (ST205 possible)
Custom manifold
Garrett GT28RS
600cc injectors
conversion to return fuel system + fuel reg + fuel pump
Clutch to hold the power.

Probably around 5000 euros total. IMHO - not worth it.

Re: My First Build

I would advice to put thick head gasket or gasket sandwich while you are at it.
It is knocking on 0.7bar and 14* of advance with my Apexi 1.8mm gasket.

I can image it would just blow up with stock compression.
