Re: Minty.Fresh BN Sports Altezza

Figured out a bit more wiring. Grey chassis plug (BA1) has two black wires. These will need to be connected together to allow the starter relay to be operated. http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/peter0991/89ca3510-ad78-45f8-826a-7b4f376e9084_zps1622d1d1.jpg Will be responsible for sending 'STA...

Re: injectors and fuel pump upgrade

You can fit the pump, since that will not affect the fuelling. Injectors however, will cause the car to run rich

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

Just a word of advice. The heat from the turbo likes to melt the exhaust cam position sensor on the back of the engine. Id make a heat shield around the turbo to save it from molten death. I just used a sheet of ally and bent it to suit. Didnt have any issues after that.

Re: 3SGE Sensor Question

You can even remove it entirely. Its to prevent the release of fuel vapor from the tank to atmosphere, so its fed into the engine from the back of the car so that the vapors can be burned up.

Re: 3SGE Sensor Question

That looks live a vacuum switch that plumbs into the altezza charcoal canister for the fuel vapor. You dont need that ;) Block that s@3! off.

Re: Altezza turbo project (Ireland)

Kinda flicked through the pics on your photobucket. Looks good. But would be better if pics showed up in the actual thread. Either paste the IMG links for the pics, or add the links as 'images' on here

Re: Minty.Fresh BN Sports Altezza

Keep it in the Toyota family man! Datsun parts are cursed, your car will never work with an SR Got some engine mounts for a JZS161, 100mm tall. Loved these mounts on my last setup! http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/peter0991/2014-10-31174059_zps80f85c01.jpg All bolted up. Had to mark them up ...

Re: Help ASAP

My oil feed for the turbo came from near the oil filter, where the oil pressure sender was.

Re: Squeaking Noise?

Thats why I mentioned the PAS. Because that sound immediately made me think of it. Used to get it pretty often. You mentioned that you changed the belts as well? Tensioned the belt up enough?

Re: Squeaking Noise?

Does the noise change as you turn the steering wheel? Steering rack and power steering lines are in that area as well. Just strange that it only happens on cold idle, pilot bearing would make that noise constantly regarding of operating temp?
