the power steering is run hydraulically off the power steering pump not electically. Have you checked the fluid level?

i reckon they would be the ultimate sleeper, it is the exact same block that's in the facelift supra, the VVTi 2JZ so the sky is the limit really. BPU and you have close to 400bhp. It's like the Altezzas big brother really, all the comfort and refinement of the base GS300 which the twin turbo punch....

got my hands on a set of jump leads in the end, got it started with those 8) The poles on the tezza battery were too big in any case for the supra clamps. and managed not to fry anything. I think revving the car after its jumped is what causes the damage, it sends a surge back to the donor battery.

removing battery with engine running?

I need to get the supra started this evening and the battery has gone flat. Dont have jump leads.

I was going to throw the altezza battery into the supra to start it then swap them over with the engine running. will this do any harm to the supra disconnecting the battery when running?

yep definitely sounds something to do with the electrics with the fuel system.

I'm looking for a headlight relay.

Pale blue/green coloured one in the relay box beside battery. Part number 85916-30060.

if anybody has one lying around or is breaking a tezza i'd be much obliged.

i mounted mine down beside where the anti roll bar meets the chassis leg on the offside. very little room behind the radiator and one very light tap (if something hits the grill) and its through the radiator :(
