Re: Low idle when warm - MAF and TB cleaned - TPS broken?

That's an AS200 cluster. Redline, and fuel economy meter give it away. Which would explain the difference in the ECU and the cluster rpms.

Re: upgraded intake manifold?

Also remember this is just the opinion of one keyboard warrior, so take what you will from it, and the end of the day it's your build do what you want.

Re: upgraded intake manifold?

The factory manifold is actually a fantastic piece of work, look at the inside at the individual trumpets. I'm at 470hp+ and the plenum/throttle body aren't restrictions yet. Have seen one build go the other way and go for a smaller throttlebody to increase velocity. ITBs and a plenum are an awesome...

Re: Boost Pressure and HP

Choose the hp you're comfortable with then tune around that. Start low (spring pressure) and raise it slowly. As for what spring to buy, rule of thumb is you don't want to be going more than double the spring pressure if you're using some form of boost control (tap/ebc) so keep that in mind for futu...

Re: TPS and extended cranking

TPS readings are in the other active post about low idle. That is a crimped line so you'd have to cut and recrimp it... So either get a fitting to do it off the bung in the fuel rail or look at the other end by the fuel pump under the rear seat. It can take awhile for your car to settle down after r...

Re: Low comp pistons

TODA and CP-Carrillo off the top of my head.

Email Nick the site trader for pricing on the CP pistons as he does a combo with forged Eagle rods to suit.

Re: TRD Flywheel & Clutch

You can use an exedy flywheel with a trd clutch so can't see why it wouldn't work the other way round.

Re: Turbo Altezza 3sge

The G4 is 100% better, but PowerFC is fine (I use it).

Unsure on the camcon though, have never used it myself.

Re: water cooling turbo

I tee'd in to the two water lines running along the firewall behind the head, makes for two very obvious lines though so not ideal if you're going for a tidy engine bay look :p

Re: noob tezza turbo q's

Will the added effort of making it a 2.2L out weigh just adding more boost? :p

Torque is something you won't lack no matter which option you go with.

Out of interest what are your hp/torque goals?

Re: noob tezza turbo q's

I've seen older gen 3sge heads put on to 5sfe blocks before, haven't seen this one be done though. I'm sure it could be done, and I'm sure you could make a 5s crank work but if you have the budget and are talking to celicara45 about cams etc I'm pretty sure he does cranks too, so could be an option....

Re: noob tezza turbo q's

The gearbox question comes down to how you treat it. Gear changes are the main reasons these gearboxes detonate, have seen people on half my power go through multiple. Main thing to think about is what you want from the car, I made my cam and turbo choice on the fact that it is first and foremost a ...

Re: supercharged altezza q's

I'd even leave the factory headgasket in. I'm guessing the supercharger is on a magnetic clutch then, you just need to find what switches it and adjust it. Whether it's a microswitch on your pedal, a certain rpm or load etc. Even easier just wire it to a switch on your dash to run it permanently on ...
