Re: Newbie here from ireland

http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclub/index.php?showtopic=7121 There's a good place to start. My car was factory with mild na mods, then I had a GReddy kit running 4psi (155kW) then extra fuel mods to 10psi (197kW), then rebuilt engine with forged internals and cams etc bigger turbo (276kW) th...

Re: Newbie here from ireland

Plenty of completed turbo builds about.

Ranging from bolt on GReddy kits, to full custom turbos with forged engines, to engine swaps.

N/A vs turbo is down to a personal preferences and hp goals vs budget.

Welcome!

Everything will fit, but options from the Lexus like heated seats etc won't work without extra wiring.

Re: Injectors and fuel pump.

The 540cc Caldina ones should be a straight swap, email the site trader Nick on Nick@nst.co.nz and he'll be able to sort you out with good prices and get you the right parts.

Re: Injectors and fuel pump.

I have ID1000's running 470hp atw with 98ron and they're only running at ~70% duty cycle so should be fine (Not sure on how much more % over normal petrol you go with E85 but looks like decent headroom, if in doubt ID1300 are an option now I believe??) , don't know part numbers as I put them in abou...

Re: Injectors and fuel pump.

Your power will depend on the tuner, going down in compression means you can run more timing and more boost meaning it is possible to get more power. It is not a necessity though, so is totally up to you. (it makes negligible difference in all reality, but is a good excuse to look at the condition o...

Re: Injectors and fuel pump.

1000cc is well overkill for the GReddy turbo kit, sard high impedance 540cc will be more than enough (or Toyota Caldina gtt injectors are 540cc) Double stacked factory head gaskets are common. A walbro 250 lph in tank or similar (deuschwerks etc) would be fine, a Toyota Supra Rz fuel pump is also an...

Re: Check Engine light that Diagnotics cant locate

Go see Nick at North Shore Toyota.

Cleaning the maf sensor would be a good place to start if it hasn't already been done. (search on here or Altezzaclub.org.nz on how to do it)

Re: Maf wiring z32

Can't remember the wiring off the top of my head... But I hope you know the z32 maf doesn't have an integrated temp sensor like the Altezza one. I ran a generic Nissan temp sensor too, welded in just before the throttle body. I personally believe I made a mistake going to this maf sensor as I now us...

Re: Alloy rad options

The factory radiator will most likely out perform a cheap alloy one. If you aren't having problems yet and you can't afford a decent one, spend the money on flushing out your cooling system replacing the coolant, thermostat if it's poked etc. I run mine for 10-15 laps (20 minute sessions) and haven'...

Re: flywheel and clutch options

I went OS Giken twin plate with 5.7kg flywheel and haven't looked back. Expensive but has lasted well and retains close to stock pedal feel (weight wise).

Got it around 2010 had a look at it last year when I took the gearbox off and it still had more than half the friction material left.
