Re: Would the 3sgte injectors fit the beams 3sge

The ones from the first gen GT-T Caldina (3sgte) are 540cc and fit.

Re: gearbox weakest link

Only time I've broken one was a missed gear change. Stripped a gear, bound up then snapped the input shaft. As for the weakest point I'm not sure, as I only have my personal experience to go by and I tend to have some mechanical sympathy unlike other people. Don't slam through the gears or dump clut...

Re: ? 's for soiled (cam/boost related)

I'd be tempted to run something similar to a Garret Gtx3582r with a. 64 housing at around 1 to 1.2 bar. Or a gtx3076 with a .8 rear housing at 1.8 bar. And if it's going to be a dedicated time attack car I'd get rid of the factory gearbox and go for an r154 and also change the diff, so your gearing ...

Easily.

What's your goal for the car? Daily, weekend street, drag strip, track, dyno queen?

Re: ? 's for soiled (cam/boost related)

Turbo exhaust housing is too small for more, but makes for a nice car to drive on the street.

So the answer is compromise. Nothing more :)

Re: apexi power fc problems!!! HELP!

If he was running it mechanical he may have a sensor or output turned off in the Ecu.

Did you get a handcontroller with it? If you did you can go through the menus and do q sensor check then apply throttle and see if the TPS voltage is changing.

Re: Altezza gearbox

S15 is the same gearbox with a different bellhousing and gear ratios.

These gearboxes can last fine if you're not too rough on gear changes.

Upgrade options are R154 or W series gearboxes from Supras. Will need custom bellhousings/adaptor plate.

Re: Decent FPR for turbo Altezza

Upgraded fuel pump with the factory set up works fine. I used this up to 200kW (GReddy kit, 540cc injectors and upgraded fuel pump) with no issues.

But a sard one will work fine too, I use a tomei rising rate fpr. Any genuine one will do the job, just make sure it's not a counterfeit.

Re: Decent FPR for turbo Altezza

If it's only the GReddy kit and 540cc injectors run the factory one.

Only need to worry about it if you're making it a return system.

Re: Water Temperature

I use the green coolant, it doesn't really matter too much just as long as you don't mix the two together as they turn to a gunky mess. So either use what was previously in there or make sure you have flushed it out thoroughly. Does your torque app see the temperature sensor reading? If so would it ...

Re: Water Temperature

Having your heater on will make intake longer to get up to temperature as its essentially another mini radiator. Are your radiator fans running all the time? Check the fans, then try without running your heater until you're up to temperature, then if that doesn't work try a new thermostat as it may ...

TODA is a good place to start.

Or you can talk to Nick the site trader (Nick@nst.co.nz) as he sells CP pistons and eagle rods for a decent price, they're low compression but CP can do custom orders so will be able to do high compression ones.
