Putting Camshaft Pulleys back together!

Hello all Recently bought a spare head for pennies to play with but it came with the pulleys taken apart, now my online searching has said that "cannot be put back together" Now common sense dictates that someone must have put them together in the first place, so how does one put them back...

Re: wanted 3sge beams manual head

A redtop can be turned into a blacktop easily enough but nevermind, thought I'd offer.

Re: FS: Turbo Engine Solution! + 6spd Manual Conversion

Just thought I'd mention that Gen 2 & 3 3SGTEs will only take 300hp on stock internals.

Good luck with the sale anyhoo :)

Re: Need a toms turbo anyone!?

Have a word with turbo suppliers. There should be something similar out there.

If you decide to get rid of the current turbo then let me know, I'd love to have it even if it's not working as an ornament.

Well the purpose of the pictures was to show what can be done at home with a bit of welding knowledge and some metal bits.
Anyway I'll be replying to your pm in a few seconds

Re: Turbo altezza/ manifold

Me and a friend made it, TIG welding is great at making stuff like that; just make sure to use 316 stainless steel. 304 just cannot keep up with the fluctuations in heat as well and ends up cracking really easily. Also ensure to purge the manifold; that one has held up for a year now without a singl...

What turbo are you using?
Cause if it's a TD04 then you must be overfuelling by quite a bit.

Re: Ticking Sound On Brakes

I was told this could be a fault with the handbrake shoes, one bit bending out of shape and causing clicking.

Re: Compression Test Values?

I did mine cold yesterday with the throttles bodies open, couldn't get to my EFI fuse though. Cyl 1 -> 165 Cyl 2 -> 165 Cyl 3 -> 180 Cyl 4 -> 160 The golden rule is that if they are near enough the same (10-15%) then nothing to worry about, just a bit worried when I saw such low figures. I very much...

Heater staying cold

Having a bit of a problem with the heater not warming up. Yesterday it took about 20minutes before heating and today took 10minutes after fiddling with the controls. I'm thinking maybe a coolant problem but the engine temperature reaches just under half way and doesn't move regardless of engine load...
