Rear end plate rattle

My tez has had a metallic, tinny, chinkly rattle for a good six months but only at certain revs, however it has progressively gotten worse over the past few weeks, so much so that it rattles constantly at idle and is very noisey when driving. I've eliminated the exhaust system, clutch and any heat s...

Re: vibratecnics 3sge engine mounts

Well fitted them today... Didn't really need them though the old ones were fine!  http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv44/d3zz2h/2B8A3D5C-DBD3-4DDD-BC8A-51BF5FCE5E1C-12984-00000DF8D124ACC2_zpsba1909b6.jpg It didn't get rid of the annoying rattle from somewhere underneath still though :(

Re: vibratecnics 3sge engine mounts

Picking up a set of these later today. :D
Turns out Vibra Technics are based in Corby which is the next town over. That and I got a quote from Toyota for new standard engine mounts and they came out at £140 each!

Re: A JOKE,,, NEWBIES PLEASE READ AND FULL TIME MEMBERS ASWE

I've used this site for reference, even before getting my Tezza and found it be a fantastic resource. Although I don't post that much this site is always my first port of call whenever something strange occurs on the car. I've always had really friendly and useful responses to my questions and from ...

Re: Standard RS cat

Hi, do you still have this available?

Mine has developed a very annoying rattle so I'm looking for a replacement...

I'd arrange a courier to save you the hassle.

Cheers

Re: No go, jumping around and inability to rev!

Yeah, the P1346 error is 'VVT (Variable Valve Timing) Sensor/Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Bank 1)' so I guess the intake side is Bank 1 since I'm still getting the Engine Mgmt + TRC lights flashing after changin the exhaust side. The lights don't come on all the time t...

Re: No go, jumping around and inability to rev!

Found out today I couldn't return the MAF sensor as it was a special order so decided to stick it on anyway (even though I was sure it wasn't that). And you guessed it... I now have a perfectly smooth running engine! :D :D Who'd a thunk it, that blooming MAF! Although my engine management and TRC st...

No go, jumping around and inability to rev!

Hi all, I've had an issue for a while now, whereby between 3-4000 revs the car will jump around and have zero acceleration until it gets above 4k and then everything will be normal. I thought I'd remedied it when I remembered I had IK24 plugs in (from when I was running a supercharger), so I got som...

Re: Changed gearbox oil, now can't get 5th

Yep no reverse lights, so I'll have a fiddle with the sensor (after checking the fuse first!)
Also my gearstick doesn't default back to the middle for neutral either. Hmm - I'll get used to that but pretty jarring initially (and I suspect it won't be an easy fix).
