Re: 300 bhp at 9500 rpm

My insurance isn't actually that bad but i'm 33 with full NCB paying around €750 bout £650 with the few mod's i have declared. i'd say i could easily double that quote if i were to turbo the car and declare it. have a mate who's near 40 and he's paying over a grand to insure a 200SX. Tis crazy alrig...

Re: 300 bhp at 9500 rpm

My main issue with turbo'd altezzas is how does anyone insure them, don't know how it work in NZ but over here you'd be lucky to get a quote let alone insured. Was talkin to a guy on here recently who put a bigger turbo in his 350Z and had to get on the insurance ombudsman to get a quote and when he...

Re: 300 bhp at 9500 rpm

i still dont see why you would buy a Tezza and not keep it N/A Hello.....it was built to be an N/A car.......very high compression....similar to the AE86....and now the FT-86 has even higher compression 12:5:1!!! Plus when i look at it you dont really gain much by charging it and the risk is so gre...

Re: Full service kit for Altezza.

If yer in Meath (and i know its a big spot so may not suit) but the lads in couture autos specialize in Jap cars they're located between dunboyne and summer hill very reasonable on price and more than happy to work with part you buy else where http://www.couture-auto.com/" onclick="window.open(this....

Re: Altezza Hesitating

Not trying to sound like an ass hole here but - Have a look trough the section where you posted your question its a very common problem with the tezza's and has been answered numerous times - clean MAF, Lamda and throttle body normally works

Re: PRICE DROP !!! altezza 280T TURBO LTD EDITION NUMBER 6/1

Very true hence why i wouldn't buy it.

At the time i was looking for something with a bit more pull to bring to the nurburgring don't think i could have morally bought a car that there are only 100 or less left on the planet and chucked it round the green hell

Re: 2000 JDM Alteeza Starting Problem

if you haven't already done it check you MAF sensor maybe give ti a clean, same goes for the trottle body. Have a search round the site its a pretty common fault on the tezza's from what i can tell, but i'm no expert but there'll probably be one along any minute

Re: Insurance

Also try the AA as a broker i'm with them and no issue's with the tezza being a jap yoke,

also as has already been said i'd ring them and tell them that you've signed into a contracted and that it their tough luck if their employee's dont know how to do there job.

Re: PRICE DROP !!! altezza 280T TURBO LTD EDITION NUMBER 6/1

Some car would have loved it my self but being so rare you would be worried about destroying it using it day to day, but given its rarity it was well priced compared to some of the turbo tezza's going around

Re: ecu questions

If your not going to turbo the car then i wouldn't bother with changing the ecu as you will gain very little hp Not very true, these engines with bolt ons and a decent ECU make good power. Well i've done every thing to mine except the turbo and have made very little gains, so not sure what your bol...

Re: ecu questions

If you're going to turbo the car then the power FC is ideal as said check with who ever you're going to get to tune it first. If your not going to turbo the car then i wouldn't bother with changing the ecu as you will gain very little hp
