ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

Sway Bar Advice

Hey guys, about to order some parts for my Altezza and need some advice. I'm going to be getting some Tein Flex Z coilovers and looking to upgrade the sway bars at the same time. I'm going to be daily driving it with hopefully also some drifting. Right now I'm debating between the TRD Blue (same spe...

Re: Minty.Fresh BN Sports Altezza

This thing is too legit! Definitely an inspiration for what I want my Altezza to eventually become (if I keep it). Once I'm done uni I'd like to save up for a 2J. Sorry if you've mentioned this already as I didn't look through your thread but I'm assuming your not using a drift button/spin knob? Guy...

Re: Squeaking Noise?

Just to update this, the noise has larger gone away on its own, definitely clutch related though if i kick the clutch a couple of times when the car is stopped in neutral it goes away. Clutch is way too soft anyways so I'll be replacing it soon.

Re: Canadian Altezzification

So I'm pretty terrible with this internet stuff, I realized I haven't updated this in a long time, not a whole lot has happened though. I guess my biggest purchase so far has been some RPF1's, 17x9 +35 which I'll be putting on for the summer. Going to need a fender roll for sure but should be too ag...

Re: Squeaking Noise?

I didn't do the belts, a Toyota tech did, although I wish I had done it myself now. I had another look today for where the noise is coming from and looked at some diagrams afterwards. I'm thinking it's the pcv valve. I'll probably go to the dealership today or tomorrow to confirm.

Re: Squeaking Noise?

I was wrong when I said that, I only first noticed it on cold start up but now that I'm listening for it I hear it more after it's warm. I think you're on to something though.

Re: Squeaking Noise?

I tested it a bit today.. not aggressively but the clutch doesn't seem to be slipping. Could it be the pilot bearing? I think it matches all of the symptoms.

Re: Squeaking Noise?

Definitely not belts, they were just replaced a week ago. The sound is coming from somewhere further to the back/lower down. Clutch/flywheel area?

Squeaking Noise?

My Altezza has weird squeaking type noise on cold idle, doesn't happen all of the time but it is definitely noticeable. Seems to be separate from the annoying thrust bearing noise, doesn't matter if the clutch is in or out. I took a video of it under the car behind the front wheels. I'm a mechanical...

Canadian Altezzification

I did promise to put up some pictures once I got my car so I guess I should follow through. Anyways the back story: I was looking for a daily this summer that had to A) Not be American B) RWD C) Manual D) Be student-budget affordable. I looked at IS300's but with a manual tranny they are way too rar...

Re: Wiring daytime running lights - same as IS200?

So I've come up with a plan which I think should work. This is the first time I've done any sort of vehicular wiring so even though its really basic I want to make sure I do it right. Could anyone with wiring knowledge check it out and let me know if it looks good? I'm not sure if I should splice th...

Wiring daytime running lights - same as IS200?

Hey guys I have to wire DRL's for my Canadian inspection and was thinking of hooking up the fogs. Does anyone know if the RHD IS200/IS300 are generally wired the same as the Altezza in terms of the dash, lights, etc? I could find a diagram for the IS200 but not the Altezza...

Bought an Altezza! What should I do?

I have an RS200 coming in in the next couple of weeks so I'd like to order all of the parts/fluids that should be replaced when it gets here. Using this website and with help from Nick at North Shore I've come up with the following list. Anyone else have any suggestions? Timing Belt/Cambelt 13568-80...

New member from a-place-where-it's-very-cold

Hey guys! I've ordered a 1999 Altezza 6mt from Japan that should be arriving here in Manitoba, Canada in a couple of weeks. This will be my first car and probably also the first Altezza to be registered in Manitoba! Anyone on here using an Altezza in a colder climate?
