Set of 4 alloys and tyres - free to a good home

I've had a set of Dotz Cronos 18x7.5's sitting out the back for a while, it's time for us to part ways. I did intend on one day cleaning them up and getting them refinished, but never got around to it and I have to clear out the back yard. Surface corrosion, but not buckled or cracked. 225/40/18 Goo...

Re: Front Factory Shock

Thanks for that, but I got a new one in the end. It cost less than I was expecting so it wasn't too bad.

Front Factory Shock

Got some factory shocks sitting in your shed left over from a coilover upgrade?

I'm looking for an offside front, bog standard factory one. Mine's leaking and needs replacement.

Re: NCT now failing HIDs

I did a bit of research, you can get HB4 adaptors to H2, but not the other way around. I found a pair of second hand stock headlamps that I've ordered. I have a pain in the a** with these headlamps now. Ironically if I go back to stock, I can swap in and out HIDs much easier than these which are mad...

NCT now failing HIDs

Great news, as of 1st of Feb, they are now failing HID conversions in the NCT. Which isn't too much of a problem if you have stock headlamps and can swap in your old bulbs. However the headlamps that came in mine from Japan have proper H2 hid sockets, they don't take standard HB4 bulbs. They're not ...

Re: Insurance and new law about imported cars..

I went with Chill, underwritten by Zurich. Still 100 quid up on last year, but nowhere near the quote with 123 and AA were giving me. The agent said he owned an Altezza himself until recently, so he knows about the car. If you are looking for a quote it might be worth giving him a call. Ask for Alan...

Idling

The idling issues which seem to be a problem for a lot of people seemed to come and go for me. I'd scrub the throttle body, clean the MAF sensor and it would go away... For a while. The Lambda sensor seems ok, it seems to cycle between 0 and 0.6v regularly so it's not dead at least. This time though...
