Re: Ticking Sound On Brakes

Quick update on this. Turns out the ticking was coming from the rear brakes. Removed the pads and throroughly cleaned them as well as the shims and the calipers. Then stuck a bit of copper compound on the back of the pads, and on all the contact surfaces of the shims. Everything back together, and n...

Re: Ticking Sound On Brakes

Ok very interesting. Would'nt i get an abs error code if the sensor was dodgy, or does that only happen once its completely dead? Regarding the handbrake shoes, if this was the issue, wouldn't they tick all the time?. Mine goes quiet soon as i touch the brake pedal, if i understand correctly, those ...

Ticking Sound On Brakes

I have a constant "ticking" sound when driving at any speed. I can't really tell if its from the back or front. The slightest pressure on the brake pedal stops it, and as soon as i release the pedal, the sound is back. Ive checked the pad and shims, replaced caliper slide pins, and cleaned...

Re: Worn Tires Front Or Back?

Hope you can see the difference in the pic. The top one is the "less worn" one. Second one is the "more worn". So, not a huge difference, but it is there. All 4 are the Bridgestone. I can't tell you the exact model right now, as you can see, i've taped up the sides as i am attemp...

Worn Tires Front Or Back?

After months of searching, i finally managed to get my hands on a set of original 17" wheels. I noticed however that theres uneven wear on the tires, i.e, 2 are slightly more worn than the other 2. Was wondering if anyone can suggest where to put the more worn ones, front or back? I need to use...

Re: Volo Performance & Ultra Guage

Yeah i'm with you on that. But has anyone tried the Ultra Gauge though? If it works with the Altezza ECU it would definitely be a nice item to have.

Volo Performance & Ultra Guage

I came across these 2 items whilst browsing around other forums. Was just wondering if anyone here has actually used/tried either or both? The magic "instant power in a box" http://voloperformance.com/vp12-performance-ch12.html And the cool looking "gauge for everything" http://w...

Sorry to resurrect a very old thread, but can anyone tell me if the color on this coil is the orange ring that denotes imminent failure?

Re: Knocking Noise Front Suspension

Yep, i did change those first. Knocking was significantly less, but still there. So i went ahead and got all the other stuff changed at once, now all quiet.
