HVAC servos - IS200/IS300/Altezza are they all the same?

Hi all, So my mode selection servo for the HVAC has been playing up and no longer functions properly anymore. I've been looking to get a few new servos however through toyota is very expensive ($100AUD more/servo) than purchasing from the US. Part numbers though seem to be different. The safe assump...

Re: Hello from Sydney, Australia!

tiny update, I ended up selling my IS200 + parts altezza and found a genuine altezza in melbourne. Was less of a hassle than doing a conversion! http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/4629/70358310151119413351945.jpg http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/9134/70434210151119413216945.jpg http://img141.image...

where is the cluster speed signal output to ECUon 5AT RS200?

hey everyone, does anyone know which wire is the one that goes from the back of the cluster to the ECU on a 5AT RS200z? I've been trying to find it at the ECU end without any luck. The blue/white wire at the cluster end is there but can't find it around the ECU since my loom is a 5AT loom and the C ...

Re: manual head on auto bottom end

to achieve the same compression ratio as a manual motor all you need to do is get a 0.5mm thinner head gasket. every 0.5mm thinner = 0.4 comp more and vice versa. I've got a manual box behind a auto motor, auto motor are said to make torque much earlier than manual motors.

Cam profiles are less aggressive as is the VVTi.
Then of course there is the bigger, titanium valves.

so it's worth swapping out the motor for a manual one then?

If you got one lying around, yes.

cool. thanks for the info!

tuning a auto beams 3SGE

hi everyone, I reside in Australia where altezza rs200z are very rare. I'm looking to purchase a auto altezza that has had a manual conversion performed on the vehicle. I understand from various sources that the auto 3SGE motor and manual 3SGE motor are different in term of titanium valves. Are the ...

Re: 3SGE dropping revs.

ok I removed the SAFCII and the car seems to idle fine now however is running extremely rich (enough to make my eye water) so either the cat is gone or the fuel in the car is wrong (sincerely hope not). Maybe it just needs a nice rev to blow out all the cob webs :S
