Re: Rear spoiler options

Not bad lad, burt I just went for the one on uk ebay the guy is selling on the gold coloured demostrator. Is only £35+ postage. Not got the link here, but shouldn't be too hard to find, if anyone's interested. These cars badly need a spoiler, especially when the trd kit is fitted, but only my opinio...

Re: The pain begins................

It's been a while, but rx8 rims refurbed, and painted charcoal, with my one-off graphics lacquered and sealed. Also finally got my JIC Magic coilovers screwed down and fitted. New antiroll links fitted to the rear, and just waiting for the new front drop links and rear spoiler arriving, and then its...

Rear spoiler options

Hi. Im not on here, too often to be honest, but the altezza is now lowered on coilovers and running on 18s with the trd kit fitted, and the car looks bare at the back with no rear spoiler. Im thinking the std is200 sport spoiler looks abit tame, sooooooo I was wondering what cars, everyone else has ...

coilover bottom bush replacement info

Oks, Ive finally got my low mileage (seemingly) jic magic coilovers delivered from Japan, and they are in lovely rust free condition, but I have noticed the 2 front coilovers have got a few wee cracks in the rubber bushes at the bottom of the coilovers. Soooo, Im thinking of replacing them before I ...

Re: improving the std torsen lsd

Lol. I didnt mean that in a cheaky way. When I was trackdaying last weekend, the diff locked grand under power, so what i meant, wasn't to make it lock any tigher under load, its how to keep it locked when I lift off and keep it working as a lsd, and not like an open diff, if that makes sense. I wou...

Re: improving the std torsen lsd

Cheers lad. Some good info there! 8) I think its thicker side shims I need, rather than adding more thinner ones beside the original shims. I cant see thicker oil really making much difference, although it would be great if it did, but it's only oil. Im after more initial preload, so the diff will s...

improving the std torsen lsd

Oks, I'm thinking of trying to improve the std 1 way torsen lsd diff, and have read that the torsen can be shimmed to tighten the 2 central clutch plates. Has anyone got an exploded schematic of these diffs or have any pointers for any other ways of tightening / making the diff stay locked when powe...

Re: Club Racer project : TWO IS200s(LHD) with 3S-GE swap!!!

We have put few shims between gears on the LSD to lock the gears at initial torque. It's hard to explain, but even stock Torsen LSD does have two plates on the middle of the LSD. You put shims between the plates to create the pressure between gears. This way will create some initial locking torque....

Re: 9.5x17 et12 fit the rear?

Ive got 8.5x18s with et25 on mine at minute, while I refurb my other 2 sets, and they stick out about 25mm past the wheelarches at the front and about 20mm at the back. Most excellent for the wacky racer look, if you're that way inclined. Drumroll please......... http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1...

Re: The pain begins................

lol, it's not patience, that's the issue, it's how much thickness is left in my fingerprints before the bones pierce the back of the sandpaper? Best thinking positive, should go out and rob a bank in the morning. No fingerprints means they won't catch me, and the cash will go a long way with the upg...

Re: Made my own induction kit,

Ive just spotted the bonkers prices of 'proper' induction kits for the lexus on ebay, with prices in around £240, for basically a long pipe with a small cone filter on the end, and a couple of jubliee clips. Now thats bonkers. Im going to have a go with the smoothing the inside of the standard box, ...

Re: Altezza AS200 engine spec info

Some good info there! For what's its worth, the pic of the brouchure above the 2nd engine pic is the same as mine with the beams writing on the plastics. So i take it, thats all non blacktop engined tez's have the beams branding as well? With regard to the gearing, that's a distinct possibility, as ...
