Re: Bag between back seat and trunk

As has been mentioned, the flap is there as a Ski-flap so your skis will fit in the boot and poke through into the cabin. The bag however came in very handy for protecting the material of the seat and arm rest when I had a couple of snowboards through it last winter, which is what I assume it is the...

Vacuum valve on Airbox - nipple snapped off.

Gah! Was removing the airbox from the engine bay, and obviously had to disconnect the vacuum line to the airbox flap. *SNAP*, the nipple to the valve snapped off rather than the hose coming off the end. Does anyone know if this plastic is gluable? If not, is the valve part of the airbox or can it be...

Re: Vibration after fitting Exedy clutch.

Well, we tore it all apart on Friday night and found the clutch pressure plate was out of balance (borrowed the wheel balancer from the eng. place I went to before) so fitted the pressure plate to the old flywheel (lighter than the new techniclutch one) and rebalanced it as an assembly. http://backw...

Re: Vibration after fitting Exedy clutch.

ok...well...your gearbox, clutch, release bearing and flywheel are the new parts... how certain are you about the state of the gearbox? I was assured by a forum member it was ok (he shall remain nameless until it's all running fine with no issues  ). It certainly sounds ok being driven. The vi...

Re: Vibration after fitting Exedy clutch.

What Exedy clutch kit do you have? Just the standard replacement one, nothing fancy as the engine is stock. Also...did you get new flywheel bolts No. and a new Release bearing (installed correctly)? Yes. Did you use a clutch alignment tool? I know the Exedy kits do not come with a tool. Yes. Did yo...

Re: Vibration after fitting Exedy clutch.

It varies through the revs, not just at idle.

Not quite sure how changing a clutch would suddenly cause a crankshaft imbalance? The only bits that have changed are the clutch and wheel, so surely has to be one of those that's the cause?

Vibration after fitting Exedy clutch.

So I finally got round to fitting the new Exedy clutch, Techniclutch flywheel and replacement 6speed manual box in the RS yesterday. My original box had begun to turn it's internals into swarf, so that had to come out. The new box (aquired from someone on here) is ok, a little whiney but since the o...

Re: exhausts

ive been looking about and i think the exhausts fit on both cars mate, the changes are just the manifold i think, but i will have to check, but for backbox all the companies list them as able to fit either or bud. The manifold for the 6cyl engine comes out the other side of the gearbox so the cente...

Re: What high-level spoiler is this?

Cheers Lakers. They all seem to have a duck-tailed shape to them though. The only one that looks similar (and actually really nice) is the ebay one from Japan that's pushing £400! Not sure I like it THAT much  Not really sure how one would look along with my Neo boot lid wing either :? Will k...

Re: rear lights

Where is your fog light(s)? On UK spec cars the two red lenses on the boot lid are the fogs and the outer reds are the tail/brakes. Since fogs aren't required in Japan all four reds on the back of JDM's are tail/brake lights. Some importers replace one of the reverse bulbs with a red bulb and wire i...

Re: Tein Super Street Coilovers

Are these on the standard kit Tein springs?

PM me a B.I.N price to Mainland UK as I may be interested.

I'm guessing the brown/corrosion is thanks to Devon's proximity to the sea?
