Re: Idling issue

Might be that the OBD-2 port (which works as OBD-1) does not give the information you're looking for.
I'd go with the last poster :)

Re: Aftermarket clutch

I got the Exedy Sportstuff TYK-7378HDB, 5-puck ceramic brass button from Nick.
No issues in daily traffic at all, not even in congestions in cities like Amsterdam and London.
But it might be overkill for your intended use.

Got it
So do they actually swap the gearing rods in the case?
I imagine that launching needs more revving after the swap?

Re: Club Racer project : TWO IS200s(LHD) with 3S-GE swap!!!

Wow, you got some work to do! :P I keep reeding about the TRD gear swap, but I can never find why they really ever came up with that. Could you find a little time to explain why it is better to swap 1st and 3rd gears? Is it only the shifting pattern? If so is it that much faster to shift that way? K...

Ah ok, I understand. Thanks :)

Question about the exhaust manifold:.
Do you know if there is a difference in the inner diameter of the pipes between the aftermarket and OEM?

How much different is it than stock in handling characteristic? Has it become tail happy for road use?

The project still amazes me 8)

Re: How-To: Using OBDII Scan tool

Yes, that might be the case, so I connected it directly onto the port under the steering column and got even more info. I put up some dials from Choopz his post to see if I get any data on those and I did! :D Check out the try out on YT, not the best image quality, though (no camera stand): https://...

Re: How-To: Using OBDII Scan tool

..did u scan for faults? Yes, but there was no output at all when I did that. Just got from the highway, having the mini-ELM connected directly to the port under the steering wheel (first had an extension cable in between). And now I seem to have some more info :D So maybe the reader-TPro-ecu combi...

Re: How-To: Using OBDII Scan tool

Hmmm, then I put in the string correctly.
All the LEDs on the adapter are flashing, I got com link with the ecu, can even see coolant temp and throttle position, but no Revs and all the other info.
Hope it's not the adapter, but I cannot think of anything else. Will try out some more tomorrow.

Re: How-To: Using OBDII Scan tool

The first results. TPro connected to the adapter and ECU. However, al lot of data is not coming through:
- Revs
- Emissions DTC: O2, etc
So maybe I I didn't type in the string correctly.

Question: in the string in the 3rd and 5th codes, are thos zero's or O (number/letter)?

Re: How-To: Using OBDII Scan tool

This sounds so great, that I bought myself a mini ELM327 and TPro. :D
Will try this out very soon...hope I didn't buy a fake ELM adapter.
